Christmas

Marcus' first christmas was so much fun! On our way into Danbury we stopped at Klaff's where aunt Terry works and met her coworkers including Stacy, Judy, Lisa, & John. They were so nice & welcomed us like old friends. We spent most of christmas eve at Lynn's. Marcus loved being around all the people and stayed up until about 11.30! Everyone was impressed with him- he was cheerful even though he was exhausted. He is such a people person & it shows!
He got so many fun and thoughtful gifts... I'll post a list later.

When we woke up on Christmas morning, Marcus had so much fun with grampy playing with the trains and the remote control cars!

Then we had a delicious breakfast and Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Mike came over. Joe captured the resemblance between Marcus & Mike at their first meeting- quite striking!

We packed up and headed over the G&G's house for more delicious food and good company. What a great day! I think Marcus has decided he LIKES christmas- A LOT!!!

Seven Months accomplishments

Marcus has learned to give "high fives" and kisses. He is starting to get snuggly and gives hugs. When he is excited he squeals- this reaction is contagious & makes everyone smile!
He is trying so hard to crawl but nothing yet. When he does get up on hands and knees, he goes backwards. He is really into watching the fish and loves to eat everything and anything- broccoli rabe is the latest surprise. He is eating oatmeal and some other food once or twice a day plus tastes of whatever we're eating.
His sleep is SOOOO much better than it was a few weeks ago. He is sleeping in his crib only and sleeps from 7ish to 7.30 with one feeding/wake up when we goto sleep and another around 3, 4, or 5AM. If he cries it is only for a short time. Naps are better too! He is on a three hour schedule which is roughly awake for two hours and asleep for one.
Everyday is the best age. Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Love, mommabear
PS Happy 5 years, Poppabear. You're the best! I love you so.

A cold

Looks like Marcus has a cold. His first since the one we all had in the first days of his life. That's not so bad I guess but it is still hard to see him all congested. He is still in good spirits- what a good little guy! Get well soon, Marcus!!!
Hope we didn't share germs with the family yesterday...

Six month accomplishments

In his sixth month, Marcus has discovered gravity, mastered sitting up, learned the joys of "solid" food, and loves to blow little puffs of air.
So much more but these are a few of the recent developments.

First week of November

The Yankees won the World Series and I was awake to see it! Wahoo! Guess the boys in pinstripes have a little "baby luck" to thank, eh?
Now, I just have to concentrate on helping the J-E-T-S & a little fella named Sanchez.

Let's see what else did we do this week?
Well the leaves are mostly down from the trees so we played in the leaves.

We also went out to breakfast and I dressed as a railroad conductor- my fashion sense got a lot of attention and comments. I was very proud- it was fun!

This week I also learned to snuggle with the stuffed animals in my crib. My first snuggle buddy is Raggedy Ann.

I definitely know my name now and turn when I'm called because I know there will be someone wanting to show me something fun and interesting. I'm getting better at sitting up and I love food and shadows but mostly food especially anything other people are eating. I like all the foods I've tried so far- peas, carrots, prunes, pear, banana, squash, bread, so many things I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Well I hope you're all having a great week. I'll post again soon. Luv, MaRcuS (& his 'rents)

It has been a week or so, sorry I have not been posting. I have been really busy growing up so quickly! It is a lot of work.

I had such a nice weekend! Friday night we drove to Bethel so I can stay with Grammy and Grampy at their house. Teta and Danielle came over to see me. We all got to play for a while when I first got there. Then Aunt Teta cut Daddy's hair. I was tired and went to crib, but when Danielle came, I decided there was too much excitement and so I voiced my opinion and I was able to sit at the dinner table and have the delicious lasagna that Grammy made. Okay, I didn't have the lasagna, but I had some cereal that Grammy and Teta fed me and watched everyone eat the lasagna. What a fun night, I stayed up until 10:00pm which is my latest night!

Saturday, I woke up and played with Grammy while Mommy and Daddy slept a bit extra. I don't know why they were tired, I felt ready to go! Then we all had a nice breakfast, and Mommy went to get her haircut by Aunt Teta. Mommy came back and her and Daddy got all dressed up in some pretty fancy clothes (which they did NOT let me spit up on...hmmm) and left. But that's okay, because I got to spend the whole day with the rest of the family and have so much fun! I played with Grammy alone until Grampy got home. Then uncle Tony came over for a while. They set my jumper up in the garage, Grampy is so smart, he put a bolt up on the joists with a hook. I just loved it, I jumped for so long! Teta and Danielle came over and we all played for soooo long! It was such a nice kid's vacation. Every one said that I was so good and didn't complain at all. All Mommy and Daddy know is that they got a picture sent to them of me in a rasta hat...I will never tell...hehe. They got home late and woke me up becasue they really missed me they said...geez, I just wanted to sleep!

Sunday was just such a nice day! Teta came over and we all played in bed for a long time! I was just talking to every one and loving the attention (I am so lucky). Then we all had a nice breakfast (including Grammy's famous egg sandwiches and the best part...TeTa's Monkey bread that I got to try, I just loved it). That was tiring, so I took a nap (It is not that easy entertaining everyone all the time). Then we went up to Blue Jay Orchards to pick pumpkins for my first time! It was soooo much fun. We took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. That was really fun, I have never done that before. Then I picked a pumpkin that was just perfect, the right size and every thing, and Aunt Teta bought it for me! She is so sweet, I am so lucky to have her. Then we all walked through the apple orchards, and I got to pick my first apple with Danielle. Then we went up front and Mommy and Danielle had fresh lemonade while I spent time with Teta's severed heads. It was such a fun time! I love Halloween. Unfortunately, we had to leave, so we said our good byes. I went home and slept so good that night! What a nice weekend with my family! I love all of them sooooo much!

Sorry it has been a few days since I posted to my blog, I have been busy! I had a nice weekend. Saturday I just played with Mommy and Daddy, we all rested after a fun week. Sunday, we all drove up to Windsor to watch my good friend Benjamin play soccer and to visit with Amy, Keith and Joshua. I had so much fun! It was my first live sporting event (except for Danielle's lacrosse game, but that was 20 hours before I actually was born). Then we went back to their house for coffee (well, I didn't have coffee, I had some milk). It was great to see all of them, it was July last time all got together, or about half my life ago! I am lucky to have friends like them. This week has been busy too. Grammy came to see me Tuesday. She brought me new spoons, and so she got to feed me my rice cereal. I did so good! Then, Grammy, Daddy and I all went for a long walk around the neighborhood. When we got home, I had a REALLY good laugh session with Grammy, my biggest belly laughs yet! Check the videos to watch that one. I will post more later, we are all going to the mall today to get Mommy a new dress! I can't wait. I love all you guys!

What a great 2 days I just had! Yesterday (Tuesday) Daddy drove me to Grammy and Grampy's house in the morning so he could get some stuff done, and Granny babysat for me. We were not alone! Mary came over to visit. Aunt Teta came by at lunch, and she called all day to check in on me! Aunt Lizzie came by to spend some a few hours, it was great to see her. George brought Nanny by, and when he left for work, Nanny stayed. It was so nice to have Nanny there all afternoon...especially since it was her 81st B-Day! When every one left, Grammy and Nanny took me for a nice walk. Afetr we got back, me and Nanny were so tired that we both fell asleep. When we woke up, Mommy just got there after work, and I was so surprised to look over and see her (they didn't tell me SHE was coming down!). Then Daddy got back right after that, then Grampy and Danielle got there (Danielle was in NYC at the Bodies exhibit). So we all talked for a little, then we went out to the Chinese Food Buffet in New Milford for Nanny's birthday. It was good, although I got a bit tired. Aunt Teta showed up by surprise, I was so happy to see her! She kept me happy for a bit...then I got really tired, and I wanted every one to know. So we left, and I fell right asleep in the car. I slept really good I was so tired, right until 10:30. When I woke up, Me, Mommy, Daddy and Grammy all had a nice breakfast! Grammy fed me rice cereal, I ate so much (it was a long night)! Then Daddy went to pick up Danielle from school, and we ordered lunch at Sesame Seed (well, they did, I ordered something from Marcus' Dairy). Mommy ate and had to go to the doctors, so I decided to sleep for a bit. A bit became a few hours! When I woke up, Grammy fed me, and then Daddy and I drove back home. We talked half the way, and I slept the rest. Then we watched a bit of the Yankees in the playoffs before I took a nice bath, we read a book, and then I fell asleep! Whew, what a few days! I had so much fun visiting with family! I am so lucky to have all of them! Pictures to follow. Love you all!

Smiley Sunday

I had a really fun Sunday. We had breakfast outside because it was so warm. I sat in my highchair, and I figured out that if I press a button on my new toy, it starts a song, and Mommy and Daddy sing. They look pretty funny dancing...and I just had to give them my big smile every time they did it. Good thing they don't mind making themselves look silly because I sure do enjoy it! Then I had a nice day...I spent time with Mommy and took a nap. Then I woke up and watched football with Daddy. Then I went to Cole's birthday party, and I was really good until the end. we had to leave early because I was a bit "tired". Geez, what do you expect from a 4 month old? Of course, I was completely happy the whole way home, and we laughed a lot when we got home. It was such an exciting day that I went to sleep early...I just ran out of energy. That's okay. I have lots of big plans for tomorrow!

What a big day for me!

Today I had such a big day! I woke up at 8:30, then I played in bed with Mommy and Daddy for a while. Then we all went out for breakfast. I was so excited, that I slept the whole time. Mommy and Daddy said that it was actually nice that I slept, I guess they think that meals are more fun when it is quiet. I don't get it. Then we went to the library, they got some books. I didn't get any...hmmm. Of course, I have a bookshelf full and they read to me every night, but I really would like more. Then we went home, and I had my first solid food ever...rice cereal mixed with milk! It was so good, I didn't get it at first, but then I really got the hang of it. I put a video on YouTube, it is in my videos section. Then Daddy and I took a nap, all that chewing made me tired! After I woke up, and I helped Mommy cook for a while (well, actually I played with my toys while she cooked, but that is really like cooking). Then I discovered a really cool trick...if I pucker up, people kiss me! I played that game for a long time...there is a YouTube Video in my video section, you have to see that! Then after a nap and some dinner, I was playing with Mommy and Daddy and it was so funny, I started to belly laugh like I never had before! There is also a video of that also! And if that wasn't enough, I had a little energy left to go downstairs and help Daddy frame out the new bathroom. That was fun, I got to use some powertools...very manly! What a day. After a bath and a little snack while I was read some books ("Alexander and the Terrible No Good Very Bad Day" and "Me Too" by Mercer Mayer- Danielle's old book) I went to bed right at 8:00, I was exhausted. I will write more tomorrow after all my dreams. Good night!
Hello everybody, welcome to my blog!

Mommy and Daddy said they will try to update this as much as possible; but I keep them so busy that I am sure they will not be able to as much as they should. Slackers. Who needs to sleep any way?

I hope you enjoy my blog! Please add comments and let me know you're watchning me grow up so fast!
